Do you use a Clutch Return Spring for your clutch?
forgot to add if you have been running years without one please let me know, i'm thinking about it as it's a nicer pedal, just not idea i know.

Don't use one, haven't done for years.

I havnt used one for years and not had any problems. Think of the weight saving! :)

couldnt get mine to work properly with one so left it off

Don't use one.

The factory spring if anything, is fitted the wrong way as well. It should be pulling the arm away from the slave, keeping a smight load on the release bearing, and taking out all the play in the system such that when you press the pedal - there is no free play.

Easier to leave it off though LOL!

Well my only thoughts every year is that it's putting a small load on your thrust washers as like you say the free play is taken out and a very small load on the dia, my other though is that and very small load isn't going to help my slippy clutch issues. Cheers mate.

Every single vehicle these days will always do this - only top take out the free play.
If your clutch is this close to slipping - you've got too much power. I advise turning down the boost.

Yes Dave thanks, But I don't turn things down, I just keep pushing My bleed vavle has a problem it doesn't seem to like to be turned back off, maybe some oil may free it a little.

i have one, perhaps i should keep quite if no one else does...

The DON uses one too. My own Mini did have one on too until we raided it for the DON.....

You could be right, look at the evidence, the only 2 cars to crack the 12's, and we both share this in common. Soon everyone will fit clutch return springs and try to usurp us......!!

But TOM i always run one, so why am i not in the 12s??? please help! have i fitted it the wrong way around??

Nothing wrong with mole grips, I have three pair, used extensively in DON build.....

that's where i'm going wrong then, cheers mate, now off to get a set so i can build my engine with, god I'm a bodger I normaly use sockets and spanners! cheers boy any more tits?

I used a bunjee cord for avon last year, since something was buggered and the clutch kept slipping without it.

Heavy pedal, no slip.
