how are you meant to do this?

on my old cooper i got away with using a bench vice to crimp the new ones onto the glass, but was very paranoid about the glass shattering

this time round i thought id try a less brutal way, but i really am losingh patiance

i tried putting the rubber on first, then pressing the sash onto the rubber, but it didnt grip, so did the same and left clamped over night, still no joy...

so it looks like the sash's are too loose as they come, so is crimping them on the only option?

cheers

I put the rubber on the glass then with a mallet, lightly wallop the runner on. But make sure youve closed the runner over to a nice tight fit before trying to get it on (OOER).

Glass is very strong depending where you hit it. *tongue*

Edit: And i sometimes cheat and stuff the runners with duck tape.
