I think that the test was independant but the report has been hosted on the Innovate site to help promote their products.

I have lots of Innovate stuff and I'm very happy with it.

Interesting, I cannot see why they have given the AEM only a "fair" score in the ease of use category, it is literally fit the sensor, then plug and play, can't really get much easier IMO!

I also thought that too Tom. I got the results ages ago (not the full report though) and was quite happy that the AEM near as dammit matched the Innovate for performance. I know the data-logging / output of the AEM is not the best however - that is one area that the innivate group has sewn up big time.

That is true regards the datalogging part, but most modern ECU's do this for you, hence it not being a worry to me. The thing that put me off the innovate was the amount of configuring it seems to need, seems complicated as opposed to the AEM plug-and-go.

I agree with that totally... The latest one looks to solve a lot of the 'daisychaining' , but at a price - a BIG price...

i love the inovate stuff, but i wish to god they had spent a bit more time with R&D with regards teh fitting. having to fit a troubleshooting LED and calibration button to the end of the loom is annoying, it should all jsut have been part of teh controllers case.

but for tuning lots of cars teh lm1 doesnt have this issue, 2 croc clips on teh battery and your good to go.

No doubt this test is skewed towards Innovate. They probably sponsored the magazine. It would be great to see a truly independant test.
