Am i being thick here in thinking these are the same items??
1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

Usually what makes the difference is the material, are they both plated steel or is one stainless?

Theyre both goodridge, the one from Rally Des are deffo stainless but im unsure about the ones from merlin. 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

Top one clearly looks plated. Bottom one could be plated or stainless. Looks plated to me though.
9.85 @ 145mph

Ive ordered from Rally D now so we shall see. I nearly fell off my chair when i saw the price difference. 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

That suprises me. I always found merlin to be competitive. Quality service too. But yeah... that's a pretty big difference. |

I'd say they aint both made by Goodridge. You can see that the nut is machined differently where the hose enters.

ALthough, strictly speaking. All brake hoses should be crimped.

Really running hose like that should fail an mot? Well you learn something everyday. Just because its good enough on racing cars doesn't mean its good enough for the road! |

A properly fitted/crimper hose, is an OE quality item.
