I changed the engine in the mini for the metro engine the other day and have taken the car for a drive today and found that it feels to be running lean with a lot more induction noise then before.

did you lift the engine using the manifolds? might have moved and created an air leak? "Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun"

It could be the exhaust. I will check.

Thanks. I will get it as near on as I can through how it drives. It is only the tempory motor until I build a pokey one. On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:

well you could try a bit of diy, throw a richer needle in, or one suited to the engine you have now. its not "as critical" on a NA.

Erm! I found why it was running lean. It helps if the dashpot is filled full with oil:$:$:$:$:$
