I am fitting a right hand tank to my mini but dont want to cut a hole for the filler nor do I want it in the boot. What I plan to do it cut off the filler and weld up the hole on the right hand tank and use a length of fuel line from the left tank to fill it/ balance the fuel level out. I am thinking now i have removed the filler/ cap there will be no where for it to vent so will need a breather on the tank, does anyone have any ideas or products I can use. Any help would be great, cheers.

when linking the bottom you've got to link the top of them aswell otherwise it would take forever (if at all) for them to equal out. fit a vented cap to your left hand one and your done.
