After my RR session .... see "back from the rolling road " in general ....

I ended up running a non-modified needle ;

I was running very rich through the range ;

but found a needle that gave me a much leaner idle ( so I could move the mixture screw ! ) and about 8 CO at boost ..

Most of you guys seem to modify your existing needle ; was wondering if anyone else is using a stnadard need ( i mean one that is listed in the needle booklet !!!! ) le I think mi e is BCD although I will check later and confirm

I know jimster is.. and his engine is far form std!

No one seems to know why it works in his thou!!

Their strange things these A-Series turbos!

Need to pul Jims needle and confirm why...
It could be the jet has been drilled oversize in the past, or something... Either way - his should not be standard!!!!

i was looking at jon's needle on sunday, couldnt believe how thin it was at the end, it was unreal!

Guess it needs to be though as it certainly does the business.

The last needle I had was very close to BCA (IIRC Stuart Gurr recommended this needle back in 1996). Remember thou that all engines are different.
