Hi i posted around a week ago about changing engine revs when using the brake, after replacing the non return valve the problem now is that the engine revs drop so i purchased a rebuild kit for a mk3 servo which i beleive is the worng one i was told when i purchashed the car the brake servo was from a cooper s which i beleive to be mk3?? http://minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=34058 this seems to look the same as the one on my car but i have purchased http://minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=34993. the problem i am having is that now when i use the brakes the revs drop so i beleive the diaphragm to be damaged is this correct? i have removewd the servo from the car but cannot for the life of me open it , is it even possible if so ther must be a technique lol

I may have steered you wrong there, when you said a Cooper-S servo I assumed it was the Mk3 Cooper-S remote mount type.

Where is the servo mounted?? Is mounted directly to the master? do you have a dual cct. brake system? If so Yes you bought the wrong kit. Thats the late (post 89) type.

If its the later servo mounted type you needed:-

Not done this before so cant help on the disassembly..
