I suspect not but could you use a use gears from different manufacturers to make up a box? I am short of a 1st motion shaft for my challenge spec gearbox. |

The pitch of the teeth varies between manafacturers i believe, so i'd say it's a no no. |

correction tom, i have a set of JK and have replaced 1st and 2nd using MSS ST gears, so clearly they are exactly the same dimentionally, |

Does anybody happen to know what gears are interchangeable (similar pin distance) with the Challenge sets? |

Challenge sets are a diffferent matter entirely - these are a different headset ratio, so the first motion and laygear will be different for sure. MS 1 / 2 / 3 'could' be the same however? On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:
