I'm trying to remove the final drive of an old box and I can't seem to be able to select two gear at the same time.

Do I need remove the selector forks?

You need to twist the interlock spool and selector shaft so that the selectors can move independantly.

Thanks Paul, I thought it was something like that, do I need to remove anything to allow me to rotate the interlock spool further than normal?

If you have the diff out and the ball and spring out, it should twist OK.
