Erm, iv forgotten what goes onto this outlet from the turbo?

And, can i run a boost gauge feed off the dump valve line which goes into the manifold with a t-piece? Iv read up on it and it seems there are mixed opinions? Iv seen few people doing it now.

Cheers.

James.

That outlet normally goes to the bleed solonoid on the metro ecu, best to block it off. Cant really advise on your other query, sorry

I'm getting close to plumbing everything up and was planning on feeding boost gauge and dv from the same inlet takeoff. Can't think of any reason this wouldn't work but can anyone confim?

I cant see a problem personally taking a boost gauge off it, but if you have a pressure drop across your IC the gauge may read higher boost than what the engine is recieving. As for the the dv, why would you want to connect a dv to this? Am i missunderstanding what your trying to achieve?

I mean the vacuum side of the dv coming of the inlet. Positive side will be t'ed in between compressor trumpet and plenum? IC is on the cards but I should probably get it running before I go spending more money.

I think I have worked out the confusion, I think James was reffering to the brass union on the compressor housing, but you for your dv are thinking about the compressor outlet? am I correct?

Ahhh, I'm with ya. I thought James was talking about inlet manifold, my mistake. Sorry to hijack in that case but does what I'm blithering about make sense? ie. teeing the vacuum side of dump valve and a boost gauge from a single inlet manifold takeoff?

ps. eat your heart out Rolf

Josh, cheers. Il do it that way.

andygardner, I was asking about the brass bit on the compressor housing but i was also asking about t-ing the boost gauge onto the dump valve feed as in above piccy so dont worry about hi-jacking thread.*happy*

I would also like to know if thats ok?

Glad to hear that as if it was otherwise id need to tap a new outlet from the inlet manifold.lol

The only difference from that pic is that my d/v is on the plenum. doubt that will make a difference tho.
