yes, its the screw behind and a bit below the fuel-in pipe.

Clockwise for rich, anti-clock for lean.

This screw is for adjusting the tickover mixture only. Once it is set correctly, the rest of the fuelling is determined by the needle profile.

Ah, on the mater cylinder side nearish the back. It's a flat head screw that also take a philips, like the idle ajusting screw. It's tight to get at though.

so theres not one that adjusts the whole mixture.

its just that i have a needle in my 1380 that it runs with fine but its a bit rich.
and it doesnt like to idle all the time! i dont need any choke to start it up even with the standerd mg metro needle in it.

im going to conect the flywheel breather to it as at the moment i have it going to atmosphear and blocked off the breather pipe on the carb. the crankcase will have a filter on it as its a differnt size from standerd (25mm).

any ideas?

hope that makes sence??

The needle profile dictates the fuelling. You set the mixture at idle to be correct, then it's the profile of the needle which controls how much fuel passes through the jet.

be carful though i set my carb up accidentaly using the mixture adjust screw through the revs instead of a diffrent needel (first time i had done it) and my car runs crap atm. i may re-conect one of my breathers to the carb as it seems twin breathers dont work as well for me atm.

Well in theory, if you move the screw it will affect the mixture throughout the rev range. But it really should be used to set the idle mixture, then the rest is controlled by the needle profile.

As a quick fix you cold give it a turn and see what happens
