how much are these now?

if theyre still 50 quid a lead i'd say they can poke it no matter how good they are,

but i will say that i did a mock up lead of this style of construction and it did give a visably better spark.

Not knowing anything on the face of it I'd be tempted to say that they are a gimmick, however David Vizard is not someone to rave about them if they don't do anything, so if he says they are good, I'd bet that there are some tests behind his quote to substantiate that they do something useful.

The extra 'red' in the second 'combustion picture can only come from more fuel surely?

Its all a load of tat that is best left till absolutely everythign else has been done. Then make your choice.

iirc, the manufacturrers used the fact that these leads were used on the first Top Fuel dragster to run sub 6 secs, possibly usefull wheb you are tying to ignite a 50/ 50 fuel air ratio, but whether they are of a benefit on more conventional engines is debatable,
i have heard it said the Mr visard has been known to promote a product if its made worth his while,
[ this is not my oppinion but that of unamed others,] i personally hold DV in high esteem as it was he that helped me to become the quickest a series powered mini,
