I'm pretty sure that Richard will even make you a set of pipes if you ask him nicely.

Heres mine with a sidemount intercoler.. The 2" steel pipe with a 90 degree bend just makes it over the servo..

Here are a number of other shots of the Ford RST i/c install in my engine bay.

I made a shroud around the i/c to prevent loosing the ram air effect from the forward motion of the car when the air enters the three holes I have in the front leading edge of my bonnet. This is a one off.

As Rob says, I can make some stainless pipes up for you if you go down this route using st steel exhaust bends from Merlin Motorsport (as mine are) but I'd need to work out the cost.

I've made the pipes to give the most efficient flows from the compressor and to the plenum.

These avoid excessive pipe lengths and bends which can lead to really bad problems with turbo lag if you're not careful (ie: a 90 degree bend has an equivalent flow factor of a 12 inch length of pipe of the same diameter as the bend so if you've got four 90 degree bends it's the equivalent to 4 feet of pipe before the air arrives at your i/c or carb !!).

The pipes I made are 2 inch OD with a 1 mm wall. There are only two 90 bends in the install but this does mean some welding of a new plenum (or a revised MT plenum) and mods to the MT compressor outlet pipe. Not difficult jobs.

Hope this helps.

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.
