Hello there.

My mini seats are nearly on there last legs does any one know of any where that has seats set out on display to look at and sit in??

All the local shops my way have a bout 3-6 seats out and nun that I find comfortable.

I don't want to order one from on line with out testing it out first.

Demon Tweeks hav a large display. and based on previous experience they would be happy to get some others out for you to try.

I guess they are miles from you though, only 20 mins from me.

Do you like the RST Recaro's?

I've never found a more comfier seat for my 'frame' for a road going mini - and there are lots of them available everywhere!

TD: I have a pair of S2 recaro seats, what is involved in bolting them down? The rear mounts foul on the tunnel and the front mounts seem to only be able to bolt on to the front or rear of the X tunnel which gives minimal or too much leg room.

What you have to do is 'lose' the Ford mounting plates and Make your own.

You should be able to figure out what's needed from them pics...
Get to B&Q and buy 2m of 25mm Box section (around ?10) and get welding. Note the use of 'standard' mini seat brackets, suitably modified, meaning they can be swapped into another mini with minimum fuss, and are using the original (strong) mounting points...

Doing the 'H' fabrication at the rear strengthens up the seat base enourmously - use the original Ford mounts and they'll break the seat after only a few months...

As another tip - use them such that the 'winder' is on the inside (next to the tunnel). This lets them go further back...
Modding the rear bins would help a lot aswell...

Nice one. I have not got any rear bins so that isn't an issue.. I have been needing to fit the seats for some time now so that I can figure out how much of the rear deck I need to cut out for the seats to be in a comfortable position.

i have cobra imola2 seats comfy but slim

i loved my sparco sprints. suprisingly comfy!

i have some corbeau kevlar fia seats of some type, they are a few years old now, but nicely fitting!

Cheers chaps that just what i need, and idea. I think slim is the name of the game as some of them are very wide.

dan's corbeau's are slim, as were the sparco sprints. sprints are only around ?95 each as well so they're a bargain to be had!!

I really like the Clubman Buckets the very small low back ones that everyone and his brother sells ;;
I have them in my pick up ; I am 5'7" weighinh in at 10St4lb SLim build ( brown eyes, dark hair , gotee ebard ... my god I am getting carried away !!)

Seriously though l they are very small and slim ; and exteremley comfortable and hold you nicely in place around the corners !!!

Cheap as well !

Is it possible to get lightweight recliners?

I don't like fixed back bucket seats but recliners are so bulky.

Hi (brown eyes b12 , Yes the clubman was my first chose as well, However a friend has just fitted them in his mini, (he finds them comfortable as well) but for some reason I don't and it doesn't matter how I mount them, it's always the same with them :(. So I guess the search is still on.
Just seen where Demon Tweeks is as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's near you Jim North wales!!!! Hell that's a drive.

ive got one of the cobra classics in mine, really comfy seat, hold you in place well, and i can even get my fat arse in em!

Whats the cobra classic look like? is that the leather one??
