Hi,

I have an LCB fitted and currently have a cat removal pipe and an Fletcher cat back side exit exhaust.

The reason I removed the cat in the first place was to get some more ground clearance as it was hitting every speed bump/brick in the road. But it is as low if not lower than it was before/

I searched on the various forums and tried refitting the cat held up by a jack but it sagged back down to near enough where it was before.

The Exhaust will physically fit in the tunnel even to the side of the gear change but as soon as I release the jack it sags down again.

There is a bracket on the diff housing and both hangers at the rear look to be in good condition.

I was thinking that the best way to solve this would be to weld another bracket somewhere along the floor more centrally to hold the exhaust up.

Has anyone any better or alternative suggestions?

Thanks again

Chris

MMMM thats strange chris, i have an LCB fitted and i dont have problems like that (dont have the cat version fitted though) I had thought about doing the bracket along the floor but i managed to get it high enough not to worry me that much.

Another thing i managed to do was to turn the middle pipe around a bit which lifted it up, but i dont know how your pipe is designed.

Will take some pics of mine if you want.

I have a similar issue, i think Im going to cut the LCB and change the angle where it bends under the car. This should hold it higher in the tunnel.

Paul

I seriously doubt it!

That would be cool, I'm going to have a go at it tonight I think if you're not busy....*wink*

It has a knuckle joint on the pipe from the LCB to the cat which just seems to let it drop, I think the spring that was on there might have disappeared too!

I read a post by Sprocket on TMF about tilting the engine so that the manifold points further upwards, but getting to the steady bar may be a bit of a challenge.
