I've got a spare carbon fibre bonnet, left over from my experiments!

Was gonna put it on my brother in laws car, but we think maybe its a bit too lightweight!

it weighs in at 575g, but hasn't been trimmed of its excess yet.

the bonnet does require painting, as the finish isn't as good as i'd have liked, in places.

It is made out of prepreg carbon fibre, so its not the cheap stuff, and not a drop of fibreglass hasn't been anywhere near it!

I'll post pictures up as soon as the battery on my camera is charged. and i can work out how to post pictures on here!

I'm after £125 for it, which isn't bad. As the material, to make it, cost more than that!

but be aware, Its light!!!

Warwick.

the curley ones are wet lay carbon fibre, hes got pre-preg stuff which is muuch much stronger better and lighter
most wet lay are layed over fibre glass to give some strength to the weave with the pre-preg thats not needed and so is lighter

indeed, if the curley ones weigh half a kilo i'll eat my own scrotum.

definately worth the pennys if you're after some weight saving imo.

He probably could. But the first bit of wind, and it'd probably fold in half!

The confusion is the exact reason i don't make more bits.

I'll only make prepreg stuff, as thats all thats any good, and people either dont dont know the difference or won't pay for it!

I was just gonna bin this, as i don't usually produce any thing that isn't perfect, but its useable, and way too good to cut up.

But i'm not a charity! so, £125! *wink*
