I have another actuator 8PSI it has a long threaded rod coming out of it !!

DO you know I am not really sure how to fit it

there what looks like 2 10mm nuts to hold it in place

and a rod my actuaotr screws into

Do i need to undo the end of the rod ; all the way there under the carb ??????????????

Also how much backlash do I need to set; and how do I do it ?!

Cheers guys

PS where feeeeeeeeeebs he aint been on in a while has he ?

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

he was at avon in his mini, said hello to him and a short chat but was very busy.

actuator is self explanatory when you see the old one. just 2 nuts and the rod to take off.

refit with about 6mm preload, i.e make the rod length short enough so that you have to pull it about 6mm to get it on the wastegate arm.

to be honest there a pain to fit with the engine in but not impossible, try removing engine steadies to lean it forward to gain better access.

seriously mate its a bit hard to explain, you'll see what i mean when you take a peak. you'll see the 2 nuts on the back of the "tin can" bit of the actuator to take off then just take off the rod. SHould be ok without going under the carb, its sort of to each side.

remove the carb - makes it much easier...

The nuts are 7/16" (11mm) Across flats...
