Boost retard units - update...

A few of you met Graeme at Avon Park, and enthused to him how much of a demand there was for these units!

As you may or may not know, He's moving to the USA in August, so has been re-prioritising his activities, and the boost retard unit was one of the things to take a back seat.
Also, try and understand what happens to products that are launched into the marketplace, then suffer hiccups / problems. Reputations fall very quickly, and are difficult to recover.

Well, work has again started on the units (but will obvioulsy slow down again as he gets settled into the USA) but the long winter months will no doubt mean a good unti will be available early next year.

Below is a picture of the circuit board. As you can see, we aren't talking about something you knocked up on veraboard in school, or a board adapted from a washing machine! This is a dual layer, purpose designed main board that will do an awfull lot, and fully upgradable by un-plugging one of the EPROMS and fitting a new one...

look out, here comes the stupid question, but..

where would you plug this in, what sort of adjustments can be made on it, and what sort of gains would you expect it from. i take it you would need an ecu to run this gadget?!?

it is in effect an ecu. It interupts the signal to the dizzy to retard the timing as it senses boost on the inbuilt map sensor
