For london to brighton I'd like a a couple of mates to come up with me, at the moment I can only invite one person due to having no rear seat.

I am reluctant due to the presence of a large diagnal bar for the cage.

If I padded the crap out of it would it be fine? I don't personally think its worth the risk. The cage is a safety devices bolt in jobbie.

Thoughts please.

Smart Guy!

mainland europe near ze germans

NO. Having been on the recieving end (meaning being the guy that recieves the person now bleeding in an odd zig zag shape due to impact). if something happens it will seriously f$#^% a person up..

maybe unless you fit set belt and you are shure the person can't head butt the cage.

still, i case of a rear impact the EMT's would have as bit of a problem cutting you out.

then again the rear of a mini is IMHO crumple zone and should not be inhabited.

mates add weight too..
