My manager is a huge Ford fan and is trying to convince me that doing up the 1.1 fiesta im driving whilst my Mini is in the lab, would be better than applying turbo to my Min.

Laughing in his face I said, lowering spings? 15" wheels? Comedy exhaust? And have a 5 door mushroom for my pride and joy. you have to be joking!

He just dont understand. Has anybody else encountered any problems in trying to explain to people just why we do it?

BIG yes, all my mates at my local cruise with their tarted up 1800 escorts n 1600zetec fiestas just dont understand why i spent all my money on building my 1275 mini, until it came to bends n roundabouts. then they saw sence.

all u gotta do is take him out in it hit a few bends very quickly, scare the s**t out of him n he will shut up. worked for me anyway

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Kind of, my dad doesnt understand why I'd want car stuff every birthday.
He said for my 21st, he'd buy me some pearls, unsatisfied wih this, we compromised on a private plate!

*happy* not a bad idea, ill run that past mum for my 21st.

I got the same thing my friends in 1.6 fiesta's and escort's and more offen than not saxo's and 106's. Nice little run about cars and thats where it stops.

I know the feeling, i wanted coilovers for my 21st (which is in two weeks, you lot!!) and my dad refused, saying he's going to buy me something sentimental.. poor.
