Any ideas for brakes which just will not work right and bleed fully! just can't seem to get the air out of the lines. why do metro 4 pots have soo many bleed nipples! i've been though them all onces with a power bleed and then twice with pumping the pedal and still needs two pushes to get the car to stop. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

alrite mate, always work from the furthest point away from the master cylinder back. i personally always do it by hand not with a pump. just get another pair of hands to work the pedal as you go round the bleed nipples. are you holding the pedal down before you nip the nipple back up? |

are you remembering to do them one side at a time? eg one side of the caliper at a time, have you got surficient break fluid in your resivior, have you pumped the breaks before bleeding? is everything done up tight and no leaks? have you tryed bleeding the rears as well? Drives

I'm sure i remember you have to bleed 2 nipples at the same time, then the 3rd one on metro callipers.

yeah caliper are the right way up, never tryed bleeding 2 nipples at once. If it is leaking i can't find it, i was wondering if it does have a small leak and is drawing in air but i can't find any fuild leaked out. think i will just have to try try and try again. i'll let you know how i get on.

my brothers was doing exactly the same and it turned out the seals in the master cylinder were knackerd. Swaped it for another and it bled first time. Sometimes the seals go when new brake fluid is added. Just an idea. |
