Im struggling to disenage my clutch when the engine is running. The arm is travelling pretty well and I have bled it a few times, having adjusted the stops too..

Its pre verto,

If I start the car in neutral and try to put it in 1st it will not go. If I start the car in 1st and release the clutch it DOES move forward therefore the clutch is engaging fine and the gearbox is OK. However Its just not enough for me to put it from neutral to 1st when running.

Its got a new slave cylinder and new piping..

Has anyone got any ideas?

Sometimes wear in the linkage can cause this kind of problem. check the clevis pins for wear. I believe some people weld a bolt onto the pushrod in the cylinder to take up some slack,

do a search...

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

your pressure plate may be goosed

Did you ever sort this out tjenkos?

I have currently got the same problem, My car fired up first time which i was well chuffed about, But it wont go into gear :(

I took the starter motor off and it looks like the clutch is operating fine. So i think its got the be the primary gear sticking.
So i've gotta whip the flywheel off and inspect. My engine mounts are bloody tightly squeezed in though :(

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...
