Well it was an eventfull day yesterday, lost a mud guard off the trailer on the way which took a swipe at the mini door on route and the sat nav thru a fit an took me down a dead end lane which I had fun and games trying to back up of, anyway, the rolllers.
Ray at T&M Is a absolute legend and really nice bloke, one of the only places I have taken the mini that let you join in with what he is doing, telling you what he is doing and why, very accomedating (SP) The first thing he done was polish the needle to get the fueiling right, he then spent a few runs mapping the MJ all was going well untill we tryed to opperate and set my boost control, Iwas planning 6psi on the actuator and 10/12 psi bled off a bleed valve connected off a solenoid off the mj, but we found the solenoid I used wouldnt flow more than 6psi, BUGGER! So will have to settle for 6psi untill I can source another and get back down to Ray.
The first run made 77bananas at the wheels at a mear 4.5psi boost, at the end of the session we had a hearty 111bananas and 116 curlywurlys, which after spending the afternoon and evening driving the car im pretty happy with for now! Im a little worried about running more boost at the moment as there was a little crap/smoke comming out of the crankcase breathers when you let off the throttle on full boost, concerend the rings wont take it. Also im running a verto clutch will more than likely shit its self before long.
But all in alll its a good start.

yep he is a top bloke and only charge £40 an hour plus the vat.

you wont get better than that.

still great result for 6psi.

what engine is it, is it an old one or a newbie you have built.

but like you say those verto's aint realy upto serious turbo torque and power, best to change to pre verto with a grey diaphram and ralley plate.

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

Engine spec is as follows
1275cc bottom end (aprox 70k)
Centre mains strap
Avonbar phase 2 cam
Benross spec head, 8.4:1 CR
Std inlet and Turbo carb, with polished needle
Custom plenum
Escort RS IC
R5GT T2 on mirage manifold
Playmini 2" exhaust
Nothing extravagant but its a start

A new clutch is on the agender but time is a bit short at the mo.
