Uncrushable hose has self destructed

whilst bolting my car together last night a new problem has occured!

the stupidily expensive avonbar airhose that i invested in decided to fall apart, resulting in lots of coils shooting out, then as i tried to get them back in, even more came out!! curses

so if i want to cut down the pipe how should i do it, snip the internal wire and poke it under on of the other wires? i was think maybe a little stich to keep the wires together so the dont pop apart again and then stick this bit inside the airfilter?

any top tips will be greatly recieved

I found the pipe too short, remember you want cold air going into the turbo, so need the filter at front of engine. so my tip, don't cut it, ooops too late now

yeah i thought it was a bit on the short sside cos i was trying to stick it under the alternator, however it had to be done, so in my still drunk from last nite state i successfully managed to cut and fix it.

infact i had a successful day today, started bolting it all together!! theres hope to get it finished next weekend
