Hi there

I'm after some info/pics of how people connect a R/H engine steady.

Like the Miglia guys run. Just need to know were it mounts to upon the engine. E.g to the water pump or exhaust manifold.

Any info/comments welcomed

Si

I drill holes in everything..!

The 1 I use mounts on to all 3 theromstat studs and runs back and down towards where the master cylinders would go 4 a LH drive and mounts via a normal mini engine mount bolted 2 the firewall. Not pretty but works well. Hope that makes sense.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

mine mimmicks the same as the drivers side one and goes onto one of the water pump bolts, then a bracket the same as the drivers side attaches it to the bulkhead.

Good advantages due to not having to take the steady off when removing the head etc.

I must agree with Iain. The one that mounts to the waterpump is much better than the thermostat type.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

i am using a thermostat style one on my N/a mini and it has reduced engine movment quite abit, got to say it was a pig to fit and even worse to remove, i like the idea of having it mounting somwhere else for when i come to turboing

Drives
-Ford S-max Mk2 Ecoboost
-Rover 100 VVC #2 - track project

Searching is all you need on TurboMinis

I use the thermostat one and it uses 1 bolt of the exhaust manifold aswell.
