I want a solenoid to use for two satge boost, basically just to isolate an mbc, I have currently a denso item I nabbed off a scooby, but that flows diddly squat. What other options are there? thinking std metro item, ford amal valve, or possibly even the anti run on solenoid???

the std metro item only bleeds 4psi. I use to use a few of these for stage boost each one coming on giving me 4psi extra boost, worked well, but they are a bit heavy On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:

The principle is the same as what was fitted to the later metros (so woul be fitted to the std T3) , and it is adaptable to most/all turbo aplications, I would of thought?

You should be able to bin the metro ecu, and increase boost via a bleed valve, or a similar mthod to what I am.

N75 valve on the VW / Audi is a nice high-flowing unit. On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

The AMAL valve is very good - even better once you pull / drill out the white/clear plastic restrictor in whichever pipe it is fitted in. Edited by turbodave16v on 8th May, 2008. On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

Yes Ray told me about your problems. I used the old rover anti run on valvles. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

apexi avcr for teh win if you can fit the appropriate sensors i.e. an electric speedo drive and tps. bit dear but you can occationaly get them second hand for less than that thing on deemon theivs. allow for gear dependant boost controll on up to 5 gears. you can also change ramp rates so it spools up slowly etc. got one to fit to my mini but waiting on a new clutch. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)
