Ok as title. Ive done it before but cant remember how now. My Haynes doesnt cover it, can anyone help?

Carnforth, Lancs

Battery live to large stud,
Start signal to large spade teminal (usually brown/red and run via a relay as these starters pull a fair current on energising),
Small spade for +12V out on ballast ignition systems.
Obviously wires to alternator also on main stud.
