after lots of late nights i have finaly got my new engine in. And now i have changed the carb it runs. Before it wouldnt run, we spent hours trying to work out why and found out it was a fueling problem caused by the carb. But it is in and running just in time for l2b.

well it was going well it got a bit hot and has nakered the head gasket< checked all the head ect over it all looks ok and straight just waiting for a new gasket to turn up, so frustraiting

never underestimate a mini!

Ensure that your torque wrench is correctly calibrated.

Took me 3 head gaskets before I realised that when set to 55nm, my TW was only making 24nm.

The head gasket failure could be the cause of the heat from the outset.

oh ill have a look into that because it didnt seem very tight when i toqued it down the first time i might see if i can get a freind to callibrate it first this time.

never underestimate a mini!
