how about using an old electric/gas/diesel fork lift truck as a 'one post' type ramp, you can get 6 ft forks and with a bit of ingenuity fab up some extensions, bolt the stacker to the floor and mount the engine/hydraulics etc outside. could prob do it for a few hundred... This has nothing to do with me but I like these alot. The beauty is that you can take them apart when you are finished so they don't take up lots of space on the floor.

looks good but it say it has a Capacity: 680kg. So be cafeful. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

Well, the very nice people at Hamer Car Lifts will do a special mini size lift that will fit in my barn for the same price as the standard.
