hellllllllllp
returned back from the rolling road after talking to him he says that he could not map it (after swoping from dizzy to megajolt) because a tickover it was over fueling the regulater was running at 10 psi and he could not get it any lower, and at full boost it was running dangerously lean so he turned to boost all the way off.
he did not know if the regulater was knackered or it was the carb,
now the carb I had piped all the pipes as shown and described by u all but the rolling road bloke had taken the one off that fits to the stub between the manifold and carb and conected the one off the float vacume take off to the one that comes off the plenum to the regulater, will this cause the above simterms
please help as I'm on the verge of torching the dam thing,
as I'm about 400 pound down and scared to drive it
thanks in advance

The carb should be connected as per the following images.

Did you have the part-throttle lean off pipe connected?

I had to block mine off to stop it leaning out on boost. I think quite a few members block this off as well.

Someone on heres doing carb service kits, which wouldn't hurt. Double check your regulator first Alan. Get that down to 4psi on tick over. At least we know the connection is correct.

Edit; Another thought, pull the carb off and check floats, needle etc are not sticking.

block 3,4,5 as above. Regulator to plenum. Without looking, I believe its the top hose on the regulator. Fuel in the normal place.

check your regulator first, once that is sorted to 3.5 psi and rises with boost then go back to the rollers.

if its first outing then the needle will need tweeking anyhow, just hope the operater knows how to do this, as some dont

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas
