As Carl said they are different, I have one but it's not for sale as it's currently fitted to my midget and I'd like it to stay that way.

A lot of the midget racers use Marina blocks I don't know why but there are two going cheap on eBay.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Yep, but as I said in my earlier post the racers seem to like them so it can't be that bad.

Definitely need an inline block,so midget, marina, ital, morris minor. There are more differences to the transverse engines than just crank.

'Where does the engine go?'

The Midget and Marina block is the same! So is the Maestro, because it has the gearbox on the side. So even if its transverse, it's got an inline block!

The Midget and Marina blocks are not the same, but can be interchanged. The oil filter is in a different position.Transverse blocks and inline blocks are not directly interchangeable as the rear main bearing housing is different -the inline one needs the scroll oil return setup and the sump for the inline will not fit round the rear main bearing cap of a transverse.I have converted a transverse A+ block to inline but its not cheap or simple

Rear main bearing is only different to accept a seal, how does this affect the way it would bolt to a transverse gearbox?

Never tried to put an inline on a transverse box so you may be right about the main bearing cap.I know it wont work the other way without a fair bit of b....ering about.

A turbo Marina would be excellent on the strip as they are so lightweight, My old one was 480kgs maximum!
