Inner wings for flip front

Bought my mini shell with the front already chopped off ready for a flip front. Done final bit welding today

Anyway, there is only about half an inch of metal from the suspension mount to the end of the inner wing (where it was cut off) will this be ok? I see most installs have at least 1 inch of metal left sticking out from the suspension mounts. Theres no rust or anything and the triangle bulkhead braces are securely welded to whats left of the inner wing.

Obviously ill be using brace bars anyway

so long as all the panels are still joined together i think itll be fine. the brace bars are imporat bit

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
