well the mini has been on the road exaclty one year since the last rebuild that took 2 years (with huge delays - obviusly) she failed on..

front subframe cracked
floor cracked (where front subframe meets drivers side floor mounts)
all 4 ball joints ( i did theese just before last MOT any ideas?)
front to rear brake pipe
rear flexi brake pipes
track rod ends

thats the most of it other than no longer having a horn. lol

si has been absolutley fantastic and offerd me his services of welding the floor and sold me an absolute bargain of a subframe and some moral support!

will be back with an update soon (and hopefully an MOT certificate!!) blagged a day off work tomorrow so i should be able to crack on a bit further:)

thanks. Dan

My pleasure Dan,

It's all going in the right direction now.

Sorry I've haven't had more time off to help. But i think you've done a bloody lot it a couple of days with limited resources.

I'll make up the brake lines for you and then its a go go situation.

Ball joints. What is your maintenance regime with the balljoints? they really need greasing monthly, have you been doing this?

However, even if you grease them regularly, they almost always need re-shimming for the MOT every year, I always have to.

wil_h - Dan did them at the last MOT...! (including grease).

He now knows that they need a little more attention than that.

lol yes i have learnt you have to grease things more than once a year, lolol will go buy myself a new grease gun.
everything is back together now. had some trouble getting it running again but sorted a small wiring problem out and then she was fine... now refuses to start again. lol just need to bleed brakes and i think i ready to go to the garage again.

another big thanks to si for his help i just could not have done it without him. and my girlfriends tea to fuel us hehe.
