I just went to leave some feedback (for a spare VR sensor) and it seems like the long talked about changes to feedback rules have just been implemented....

I got a pop-up message confirming that Sellers can no longer leave negative on Buyers - seems the logic is Buyers are frightened of leaving negative in case they get a retaliatory negative, but now they won't, as a Buyer I can now say what I like with no fear - I read they were thinking about this a while ago but I never thought it would happen.....

All I can say is..... I'm glad I'm only a Buyer on eBay and not a Seller *frown**frown**frown*

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

I think it's a great idea, I was sold 2 dud turbos, a dud head and a few other bits that went straight in the bin and I didn't want to risk my feedback. All of these sellers wouldn't leave feedback until I left mine. Why? I paid instantly and did all the right things, even asking permission to bid or clarifying postage. I couldn't have been a better buyer but they just held back so they could sink me if I dared say how I felt.

I can see why they've done it, often the buyer is the first to leave feedback. I can't believe how short sighted it is from the sellers POV though, so many scammers are allowed to use ebay, this will hinder sellers from letting other people know.

Actually, after cooling down from my lastest spate of getting shafted by ebay sellers, this decision is mad! Sellers have absolutely no protection now and they will get messed about. They will change it back though, they have to as it isn't going to work.
