When you say struggling to get reverse is it that you cant get over there with collar lifted or you cant pull it down to get it in gear?

Sounds like you are running out of throw, .. Normally I would say the engine is "too far away" as when you pull the stick back the rod goes forward.... strange when the whole point of the quickshift is to amplify the throw.

It isnt something daft like the rod being upside down, i once did this. 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.
