This is quite a long winded post, but I would like to clear something up.

I have a brand new set of rings for the std turbo pistons. The compression rings all fit with the correct ring to grove clearence ect.

The only thing I don't like is the large single piece oil control ring, compared to the 3 piece that came off them originally.

would it be possible to use the oil scraper again, but with new rings that sandwhich it? I have mic'd up another set of new n/a rings and found those oil rings to be the same thickness as the turbo oil rings. So I guess the difference in thickness of the oil control rings comes from the thickness of the scraper itself.

I guess the main question is will the scraper be fine to use twice, without increasing oil consumption?

Thanks
