just had a clutch off ebay, made by techni-clutch, it is a verto.

spent all day fitting it, having trouble disengaging gears. any ideas.

i have lengthened the push rod arm on the slave cylinder by half an inch, no luck. tried extending with a nut to help it along, but still happening.

car is jacked up and when in first gear the wheels turn. unable to get reverse.

any ideas??? thanks for your time.

thanks for your fast replies.

havent bled the clutch yet, does not feel any different to before. But i will try it.

As for the pin, did not know you could buy extended ones. Although I have exteneded it and with the nut, takes it upto an inch longer than the standard one. Do you have any ideas on the length if the extended pins?

I have noticed the clutch plate is different to the standard ones, it has springs, diaphram looks the same. fitting together was the same as a standard clutch setup.

was feeling impressed with myself, swapping the clutch in 5 hours, although feeling very annoyed now.

A quick search around and it seems that Techniclutch have a pretty bad reputation. What bit's exactly did you buy?

I'm a bit confused about your (speedyminidave) comment about the clutch plate being different and having springs in it. as far as I am aware all Vertos have the springs and all pre-vertos heve no springs. Have you by any chance stuck a verto plate in a pre-verto flywheel?
