I've basically bought a job lot of turbo parts because I wanted the block. The rest is surplus to requirements

First off please post your location. This is a site rule and your post will be deleted without. Secondly that block is scrap, the machining on the top means it can only be used with a group a turbo head gasket, and the group a turbo head gasket can only be used up to an overbore of +20, which it is already at, hence no overbores left. First part done... Second part, you don't know what I'm using the block for so I'll be the judge of that. Edited by Guessworks on 28th May, 2008. |

OK fine, you be the judge of that, but as the owner of a block with the exact same modifications done but without the water damage I know that the only way to use it again is to liner it, or skim the top sufficiently to get rid of the group a gasket machining.

Hi Tom, your comments are noted, any may be founded, but unless you've seen the block first hand, or have the first idea of what I'm intending on doing with the block, I suggest you keep your opinions to yourself.. This is a forsale thread and not a discussion on the topic of machining blocks... and being a forum moderator, I think you should analyse your own standards... Kind regards, John. |
