I'm wanting to design my own plenum chamber for a standard turbo carb, just a few quick questions, if any one can help.

1. Does it need any flow characteristics, or can it just be a hollow box?

2. I'm wanting a dump valve outlet, what diameter tube do I need to use?

3. Stainless steel or alloy, material thickness? stainless would cost me nothing cause I work for a stainless firm, but alloy would be lighter!

Just figued that I could draw one up in 5 mins on Autocad and just send it down to get made!!

Cheers Matt

Around 25mm is the average size for dump valve.

The most important factor is the restrictor ring in the standard plenum to enable the pressure take off to the float chamber to be higher pressure than the inlet pressure.
