Hi, Just a double check before I order really.

Boost is going to be around 15psi and higher on a 1293 block, phase 2 cam and eventually a ported head.

Ive done some research as to what will be the setup to go for and ive added this to my minispares basket:) :

PRESSURE PLATE DIAPHRAGM CLUTCH TYPE PRE VERTO

CLUTCH DIAPHRAGM DOUBLE GREY RACE,FOR SINTERED PLATES

CLUTCH PLATE AP RACING ROAD / RALLY PLATE 180mm

I've got a minispares ultralight steel flywheel too. Does this setup all seem kosha for the spec?

Cheers guys.

double grey might be overkill, only use a single grey on mine running 15psi and same on keans running up to 20psi.

Most important bit is making sure the flywheel assembly is setup and spaced right.

Yeah will do Nick, I worry too much that i do things wrong so I check and re check!

Read on turbo Phil's site and from a post by him when searching on here that a single grey is at the limit at these sort of specs so I was gonna play it safe and get the double grey!!

Nah it wont be, hopefully! Would it hurt putting a double grey on just for piece of mind? What are the disadvantages of overkilling the diaphragm to the spec then?

Cheers

Load on the Crank Thrust Bearings is the main problem. If you can afford to go double go for it mate.

Carl combated this problem by drilling holes through the thrust in the oil gallery, but tbh i cant see you having probs so long as you dont sit there with your clutch pressed in.

Single grey does seem fine for most folks, though i know mine wouldn't take more than 15psi, even with the lug heights machined. Been on the double grey for 2+ years now.
