On a drum, I normally use a socket & hammer. Lightly tap, don't go mad on it. Edited by Jason G on 4th Jun, 2008. On 19th Jan, 2010 wil_h said:

If you warm the (alloy) hubs with a heat gun the bearings will go in a lot easier.

Oven at 100-120 celcius (to be shure not to cause trouble with the heat treatment)
Edited by Sir Yun on 5th Jun, 2008. That sir, is not rust, it is the progressive mass reduction system

Why doesn't John K reply here... he dosn't need to really, its a simple enough job, just warm the hubs up[ boiling water will do the job] use a bit of locktight as John suggests , simple really, carl |

Humm. Well for the use the car gets I know it won't be a problem. But I'd rather keep the bearing dry. And it looks a bit bobbins with it not fitted. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Didn't somebody recently get some plastic trailer hub nut covers that where a snug fit? Just need a small amount turning of them. Might work for you. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:
