According to this chap it was a certain Midlands based engine tuner, I don't think it was. Good video though.

A French guy back in the early 90's was certainly the first to mount the head on an A series block.

It was the Greg in Canada/US first in the late 80's - the 8v head on a 850ish cc motor

Most people follow the SC build guide and fit a fitting into the existing oil drains after welding in a bung. Also use the return on the front plate. I bought A complete BMW K100RSs engine in February 2005, only had a 998 block and no Mini to put it in.
