surrey / ewell area.

Hi all what oil do u guys use when running in a freshly built engine? im thinking i should use 15/40 but maybe a 20/50 millers? and should the oil be different to the one i would use afterwards ?

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

i would use a 20/50 Mineral Oil
oil around £10 a gallon

The millers stuff is the best IMO, but pricey and hard to get hold of. I personally use halfords 15w/40 semi synthetic. The non synthetic won't withstand the heat in the turbo quite as well.

Freshly built: cheapest 20w50 mineral
Then after 2-3000km the one you prefer.
Don't forget to change oil+filter after first 500km

I normally change as often as you can afford, doesn't do any harm.

got some Vr1 20/50 but didn't like the colour after 1200miles so switched to Millers CTV

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!
