Hi all what oil do u guys use when running in a freshly built engine? im thinking i should use 15/40 but maybe a 20/50 millers? and should the oil be different to the one i would use afterwards ? |

i would use a 20/50 Mineral Oil

The millers stuff is the best IMO, but pricey and hard to get hold of. I personally use halfords 15w/40 semi synthetic. The non synthetic won't withstand the heat in the turbo quite as well. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Valvoline VR-1 20/50. Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

got some Vr1 20/50 but didn't like the colour after 1200miles so switched to Millers CTV Edited by gr4h4m on 23rd Jun, 2008. I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

looked like it was going grey to me I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
