Cheers for the comments fellas. Got the intercooler for 5 quid off ebay.
Theres a fair bit left to do yet, gotta wire up MJ, fit the exhaust. Then should be ready to start the engine hopefully. But i still need to sort out the interior, wheels and arches.
Just money that is slowing me down at the moment.

Just had my mot today. And it Passed ! *happy*
Just needed the headlights adjusted and that was it.

Couple of things i have still got to sort though, my electric fan didnt kick in for some reason and the water overflowed abit at the end of the mot were they left it idle through out most of the mot.

And something im abit worried about, but havent drived it properly so cant tell. But on the way to the mot garage, i had it up to about 3000rpm and my vacuum gauge was showing 0psi, so the turbo must be doing something but i thought t2s came in at about 2500rpm.
Oh well i will soon find out, just gotta get insurance and then tax. then i can start running it in and get it set up properly

Few photos that were on my phone:

Yay!

its likly to only show about 0 psi on cruise/part throttle,

do you have the fan run through a relay or straight to the rad switch? the fn on its own is likly to kill the switch.

also, you may want to watch out for the law with those arches, ask me how i know :(

also is that a bottom rad hose i spy on the rad-thermostat?

Yer it was a bottom hose i was using, so that i could run water through the turbo. But i have changed it now since that photo was taken.

Its a revotec fan so its got an adjustable controller with a relay.

If i did get pulled for the arches, what are they likely to say? just a warning?

depends on the officer,

I essentialy got my MOT revoked, was issued a PG9, they list any defects and take the milage to check you don't drive it anywhere.

Weee, got tax and insurance. Been out a few times now and im loving it. Go a couple of issues that need sorting.

First time i went out, boost wasn't coming in till quite late and it quite slow building up boost and it went up to about 5psi when i have a 10psi actuator. Still felt really fast though.
Then i remembered that i never really set the preload on my actuator. So just set that up tonight and went for a quick spin. Boost is comming in alot quicker now and going up to about 12psi. Hell of alot of difference. It torque steers abit, but it was bumpy and i havent had my suspension set up properly.

Feels so fast, and i didn't even take it higher than 45000rpm. Taking it fairly easy as im running it in. Following the mototuneusa guide that Benross recommends, So im applying full load in the gears.

Done my first oil change already. When do people recommend that i should do the second?

There were a few issues like i said:

- First was the exhaust scraping on the floor when going over bumps, but i think i have sorted that out now but pushing the down pipe up abit (not even sure it pushed up at all really). Also stiffened up the suspension abit more and raised the front end abit. Still don't think it will make it over speed humps though, which will be annoying cause we have speed humps at work :(

- Next issue is probably a fueling issue. But it happens every time i've been out for more than 10 - 15minutes. It will be driving fine and then when i come up to a roundabout or lights, It wont idle and it will cut out, Then it wont start very easily and i will have to keep the revs up. Do you think it just needs richening up?

Sorry if some of that doesn't make sense, but im on a bit of a buzz *happy* *surprised*

Cheers, Shaun
