have a look at how the front wheel position in relation to the wing changes under power ,wonder what that does for geometry and handling ?

Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM

that's why front wheel drive are set toe out , rear wheel drive toe in
the more rubber in the suspension bushes the more change under load . it's always a compromise on a road car , get a nice wobbly ride so ones arse doesn't go numb on the motorway

It has to be said that the whole subframe moves on that car not the suspension.

Still, not good.

often when the miglia and even seven are on the rolling road (with the front end off) you can see the whole subframe twisting under the load.

Ya that Movement is quite common Infact one of our racers managed to brake to mini spares solid sub frame mount at it’s last dyno run witch really confused us as un like some of you guys it was only running 128 hp and 110fp torque my dyno guy recons that it is the role cage setup we use making the car so solid meaning the only place left to give is there I suppose its the old chain and weakest link scenario, isn’t the yoke on the dyno a starlet conversion tho ?

Jim, where does the subframe twist?

mainly the main towers, but it's hard to tell, next time the migs are on the rollers I'll take my cam on a tripod

I've always thought that it must be a bad thing to have the rack mounted on the shell rather than the subframe.

thats for sure Mini 13 on my own race car I have mounted the rack on the subframe not a big job the only thing you need to do is increes the size of hole it fits trough in the bulk head and fet a metalastic coupling between the coloumb and the rack to alow for movment or elce your steering could lock not nice !
