I've finally got my metro turbo running again. It has alot of blue smoke coming out of the exhaust.

When you first start it up its ok but after a minute or two it starts smoking. There was also abit of smoke coming from the rocker cover. Ive only done 7miles since I've got it running, when it was running before it only had a tiny bit of blue smoke which cleared after a good run.

I've rebuilt the carb will get it set up on rolling road once I find/cure the problem.

Can anyone give me some advice?

I do have a new short engine but I was going to build this up then drop it in once the car has an MOT. Might have to change it before now

Tgis sounds simalar to a prop I had, when stood on idle it would kick out loads of smoke, drive it and it would clear, my valve guides was shot, new head and it was cured. Could the stem seals have perished if the car has been stood idle for a while?
