Has anyone managed to remove the runner on the bottom of the window for the winder mech, without resorting to smashing the window up. Lol

have you got any room under the window for a screwdriver? you can pry it open from there if your carefull. other than that i could ask our window fitter at work tomorrow but no doubt you will have a proper answer by then. |

youre lucky, usually there isnt much runner left, just a pile of rust "Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun"

Soft faced mallet. Place the mallet against the glass and slide it downwards towards the runner.

Soak in wd40 and pry the runner off with a screwdriver. The one time i did this i was outside and walking back into the garage managed to catch it on the corner of the garage and it smashed!!! I was gutted! |
