Yes, as they were infact identical to the Mk3 rear lights :) MKIV lights are ugly!

there slighly smaller right?

so do they jsut fit straight on or do i have to modify anything?

You might be able to see where the old lamps were as the paint wont be faded like the rest of the car.

Yep, will mechanically fit straight in but as Gavin says, due to their smaller size any damage or fading of paintwork will show.
Electrically you will probably have to cut and splice wires as the older style lights use bullet connectors rather than a plug and socket like the newer ones.

Ah another good point, keep the plug and rewire from there, bit neater that way.
