Do you know if they do one for the MINI, as i'm running out of room now and it would be good to fit behind my seat if i could get a thinner one. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

We order in quite alot of space savers as everyone seems to want them nowa days, smallest ive seen is a 13. Doubt if they will go smaller. couldnt you fit a 10x4.5 behind the passenger instead? Cheers, Stevo |

Why not use a 3,5" Cooper S wheel with a 145 tyre? That should be thin enough. |

I noticed the other day that on my mates small trailer that it has a 10" mini wheel on one side and a small trailer wheel on the other. I guess that this means that the trailer wheel is the same PCD as the mini wheel. It might be worth investigating if trailer wheel could be used......... not sure is would be a great idea though. If I were you I would ditch the spare wheel and get yourself a can of that foam stuff. That also means you can ditch the jack and all the other stuff that goes with it. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

I have unearthed a photocopy I have from an old tire catalogue, I think from Bridgestone, which mentions these other standard sizes. The second value is the diameter (I suppose that according to rolling radius, not static) and the third one is maximum weight (not load):

Ben H, that's a good idea about the foam, however I'm not to worried about weight as my car will never be a light one, this more about the room i've got, but what puts me off about the foam idea is I was speaking to a guy with a Clio 182 or 172 what ever it was, and they don't have a spare wheel either they just have 2 cans of the foam. He said it's just to get you home measure is the foam and you will have to replace the tyre as well as the foams NO good for the tyres.

I carry my mobile fone, when i get a puncture i fone home and get someone to brign me out a tyre :) the 2 12" subs in my boot take up any space that may have been occupied by a spare. i only carry a spare for long hauls. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

JPboost, I have heard it knackers the tyre, but not the wheel! I know the new M5's and M3's come with tyre foam, as there exhaust system take up the space where the spare wheel usually is. On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:
